Communications Room Talk #03: Impact vs. Actionism

1:32. Many people try to prove that they are employed properly. And this is already very close to actionism.

2:50. Making homework first means think about what you want to reach, think about whom you want to reach, think about how you can reach that person, think about the messages, and then you have a clear direction.

5:01. Up to eight hours meetings per week, there is a positive relationship between meeting time and productivity. But from 10+ hours meetings per week, the curve actually drops and then productivity goes down to zero.

13:13. Plan a meeting for 30 minutes and reduce it by five minutes. To complete a meeting in 25 minutes, you need a very clear agenda – and you need discipline.

16:23. Disciplined communication is the key difference for the whole of Amazon.

18:44. If you want to make an impact, you have to be very clear about the core of your intention.
